Inspired by the Lonely Planet book Year of Adventures, the five part series sees action-man Ben Fogle tackle a series of adventures and challenges in the US, Europe and Australia.
Lonely Planet’s Year of Adventures
Ben Fogle takes on endurance events around the globe as he races through the towering Dolomite mountains; faces a 21 foot leap of faith from the Welsh coastline, and cycles through the sand covered wastes of the Utah desert.
Ben Fogle faces up to his biggest weakness, climbing. He takes on 3 different challenges: scaling one of the world’s largest trees, lowering himself into a freezing sinkhole and conquering dizzying heights.
Adventurer Ben Fogle tackles extreme challenges across the globe. His goal: to take part in the world’s largest adventure race, the Augusta Anaconda, in Australia.
Ben experiences his first solo skydive, suffers vertigo during a high altitude paraglider flight and takes on the dizzying heights of Castleton Tower. Will Ben overcome his fears and make it to the summit?
Adventurer Ben Fogle pushes himself to go faster than he’s ever been before, in machines built for speed across very different terrains.
