Win a Trip to Hong Kong

1. ELIGIBILITY:
Open only to individuals 19 years of age and over. Employees, officers and directors of Ship2ShoreTV Inc, Cruise and Travel Lifestyles Magazine, Cruise Strategies, Glassbox TV, or the Hong Kong Tourism Board (“the Promotional Partnerss”), other contest partners (including the Langham Place, Mong Kok, Hong Kong Hotel,Air Canada) their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and immediate family members (spouses and siblings, children and parents and their spouses, regardless of where they live) or members of the same households (whether related or not) of such individuals are not eligible. All applicable federal, provincial, and municipal rules apply.

2. CONTEST DESCRIPTION:
The Ship2Shore TV Win a Trip for 2 to Hong Kong Contest (“Contest”) provides an opportunity for entrants to win a sponsored trip to Hong Kong for 2 travelers. The contest is open from 12:01 ET November 1, 2011 until 23:59 ET February 10, 2012. Entrants must register to join the Ship2ShoreTV online community (at www.Ship2Shore.tv), andsubmit User Generated Content (“UGC”). They may earn additional entries into the contest for submitting further content. The winner will be randomly selected during the week following the closing date of the contest, and receive the prize as described in Rule 4.

3. TO ENTER:
The contest is being held on the Ship2Shore.tv web site online community. Entrants must register to join the online community, then submit one (1) of the following items of ‘UGC’ relating to cruises or travel: 1 video (3 minutes or less), 1 cruise/ travel review, 1 story, or 3 photos with descriptions. All UGC submitted to Ship2Shore.tv is moderated, and must be accepted as appropriate, in the sole discretion of Ship2Shore.tv’s web site administrator, before appearing on the web site. Entrants will be automatically entered upon acceptance of their submissions.

In addition, entrants may submit more content to earn more entries to the contest (the same rules as above apply to additional entries).

Entrants grant the Ship2Shore TV all rights of ownership, reproduction, and use of the entries as UGC on the web site, or for promotional use of the web site, associated TV series, or their Promotional Partners without compensation or requirement to obtain further permission, including but not limited to an irrevocable and perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide right, in all media (now known or later developed) to assign, use, publish, edit, adapt, modify, alter, reproduce, distribute, display, copyright, create derivative works or otherwise exploit entries, for commercial or non-commercial use, and without compensation to the entrant. By submitting the content and entering the Contest, each entrant waives any and all rights to the content he/she has submitted.

4. CONTEST PRIZE:
The winner shall receive: One (1) Grand Prize, having an approximate value of $8,000, based upon a Toronto or Vancouver departure and consisting of:

• Two (2) roundtrip airline tickets in economy class with Air Canada
• Five (5) nights hotel accommodation at Langham Place, Mong Kok, Hong Kong;
• Airport/hotel/airport transfers in Hong Kong;
• A Deluxe Hong Kong Island Tour;
• A New Lantau Island Tour;
• A Cultural Kaleidoscope program;
• A Nature Kaleidoscope program;

The Trip Prize is subject to availability at time of request and is valid for travel between March 2012 and February 2013. Blackout dates may apply. Winner and travel companion are solely responsible for ground transportation, taxes, transfers, travel insurance, spending money, tips, meals and other travel and hotel charges not specifically mentioned as part of the prize. Winner and travel companion are solely responsible for obtaining their own travel documents such as passport if necessary in advance of the departure date. Winner and travel companion must travel together on the same itinerary.

Prizes must be accepted as described in these rules and cannot be transferred to another person, substituted for another prize, or exchanged in whole or in part, for cash, subject to the provisions set forth elsewhere in these rules. No financial compensation will be made or required by the Contest Sponsor if actual cost of the trip is lower or higher than the specified amount.

The winner is solely responsible for ensuring he/she and his/ her travel companion are in good condition to travel. Neither Ship2Shore TV Inc, the Promotional Partners, nor any of their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies shall be held liable or responsible in any way for the winner or his/ her travel companion suffering any loss/ injury/ disappointment/ inability to enjoy the above prize for any reason outside of their control.

The responsibility of Ship2Shore TV and its Promotional Partners is strictly and explicitly limited to the provision of the prize as described above to the winner.

5. HOW THE WINNER IS CHOSEN:
No more entries to the contest will be accepted after 11:59 ET on February 15, 2012. In the week following contest closure, one entry will be randomly selected by officers of Ship2Shore TV. The winner will be notified by the email address used to register for the online community. The winner has 30 days from notification of winning to claim the prize, which will involve answering a skill-testing question via phone or email.

If for any reason the winner cannot be determined or the prize is not claimed for whatever reason, including without limitation, as a result of ineligible entries, the winner not claiming the prize within the designated time period, declining the prize, or any other reason, Ship2Shore TV, at its sole discretion, and following the dictates of reasonable fair play, shall select another winner, to whom the same rules shall apply.

Winners will be announced on the web site Ship2Shore.tv, and may also be announced in any medium by the Promotional Partners

6. GENERAL:
By participating, entrants agree: [a] to these rules and decisions of Ship2Shore TV, which shall be final in all respects relating to the Contest; and [b] to release, discharge and hold harmless Ship2Shore TV, its Promotional Partners and its agents from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind resulting from their participating in the Contest or their acceptance, use or misuse of a prize including, without limitation, personal injury, death and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, copyright, trademark, defamation or invasion of privacy.

Entrants agree to grant Ship2Shore TV Inc and its Promotional Partners: [a] all rights of ownership, reproduction and use of content submitted for Contest entry for any purpose whatsoever without compensation or requirement to obtain further permission, including but not limited to an irrevocable and perpetual, royalty-fee, worldwide right, in all media (now known or later developed) to assign, use, publish, edit, adapt, modify, alter, reproduce, distribute, broadcast, display, copyright, create derivative works or otherwise exploit entries, for commercial or non-commercial use; and if a winner, [b] to permit Ship2Shore TV and its Promotional Partners and its agents to use his or her name, photograph, likeness, and city and city / location for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes in all media, including but not limited to within Ship2Shore.tv or the Promotional Partners’ websites, in perpetuity, without compensation (unless prohibited by law) and agree to execute specific consent to such use upon request.

Ship2Shore TV and its Promotional Partners and its agents are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: [a] electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties of any kind, including without limitation, server malfunction or by any human error which may occur in the posting of text, photographs and video; [b] failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions; or [c] any condition caused by events beyond the control of Ship2Shore TV or its Promotional Partners that may cause the promotion to be disrupted or corrupted.

Ship2Shore TV reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest or any portion thereof should viruses, bugs or other causes beyond its control corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the web site or the Contest, and limit entries to those submitted prior to the action taken, or to proceed in such a manner as may be deemed fair and equitable by Ship2Shore TV in its sole discretion and to award the prizes from all eligible entries received prior to such action taking place.

No prize transfer or cash redemption. No prize substitution, in whole or in part, except by Ship2Shore TV due to prize unavailability, safety or security considerations, or any other reason as solely determined by Ship2Shore TV, in which case a prize of comparable or greater value will be awarded.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SHIP2SHORE TV INC RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Use of any device to automate entry is prohibited. Ship2ShoreTV reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entry at any time or prohibit an individual from participating in the Contest in the event it is determined that the Entrant [a] has not complied with these Official Rules, [b] attempts to enter the contest through any means other than as described in these Official Rules, [c] disrupts the Contest or circumvent the terms and conditions of these Official Rules in any way or [d] acts in an unsportsmanlike manner or with an intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other entrant or Ship2ShoreTV.

This Contest is governed by the laws of the Ontario, with jurisdiction and venue in the Province of Ontario, and all claims must be resolved in the courts of the Province of Ontario.
