The temples of Khajuraho were built between 950 and 1050 AD. These 22 temples which were built in the Indo Aryan Nagara style of architecture are each different from the other. The Kandariya Mahadeo is the largest of the temples measuring 31m high. The oldest of the temples is Chaunsath Yogini located in the western group. Dedicated to the goddess Kali, it dates back to 900 AD.
