What have you enjoyed most about filming in Delhi?
I thought the team in Delhi was great. The country was very different to what I expected; I expected it to feel more dangerous, but I think it has been cleaned up because of the Commonwealth games. It’s a really exciting country to be in.
What’s surprised you most about your time in Delhi?
The doctors and the whole medical scam was a shock. I had no idea!!
Did you ever feel threatened or in danger while in Delhi?
Yes, there was moment when I thought, “If these people really knew what we were doing, we would be in trouble.” And Delhi is notorious for people going missing.
What was your favourite tourist attraction in Delhi?
The Lotus temple was beautiful.
What would you warn tourists about visiting Delhi?
I would advise tourists about the obvious things, like being careful with what you eat and not trusting people.
Are there any scams you would have liked to go into more depth with?
I would have liked to follow the gang back to the village to see if they were telling us the truth about what their lives back home were really like. And I would have loved to have gone and spoken with the doctor—and spoken to him openly—but it was far too dangerous.
“Delhi is notorious for people going missing.”
