VIDEO: Why do you travel?

I started travelling with my family before my first birthday, believe it or not, and as a kid, it was just something we did. We went on vacation to Toronto, PEI or headed to the States to see the Grand Canyon and visit Mickey Mouse in Disney World.

I think the reason I love travel is because I’ve never known a reason not to love it. When I was 23, I went on my first solo trip and that confirmed it for me. When I travel I have so many amazing experiences that you can’t get just from sitting on your butt watching TV or browsing the internet (unless it’s T+E, of course!). I make tons of new friends, eat food that I’ve never tasted before, let alone heard of, and as cliché as it sounds, I even feel like I grow as a person.

Not only do I love all of the great things I get to see and do and the experiences I have, but I also love the bad moments. I love the moments where I fight with my over-packed luggage to get it up the stairs (maybe not at the time). I love the bad food I might taste or my sometimes my inability to read a map and getting lost because I can always look back and laugh at those moments.

Of course, everyone is different. We all have our different reasons for travelling and our different feelings about it. So tell me in the comments section below: Why do you travel? I would love to know!
